Nevada
Nevada is a place that teaches you scale. I camped on a dry lake bed for a week and the only sound was the wind rearranging the dust. The photographs from here are mostly about negative space — how little you can put in a frame and still have it feel full. The van looked small against it, and so did I, and that felt right.
